Staffieri Joins Belles

Posted by Paul Koehler at Feb 10, 2006 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
The Sellersville Belles announced that Kate Staffieri has joined the roster for the 2006 season. Kate comes to the Belles from the Bristol Force 16 & Under team. She will see action behind the plate primarily and some time at first base. Adding Staffiere became necessary when Belles catcher Brittany Allman had her ACL operated on. Kate brings to the Belles a strong work ethic, solid mechanical skills behind the plate, and an aggressive strong hitting bat. We look for Kate to be an impact player for the Belles!
at Sellersville on the weekend of July 1-2, 2006. ASA will give one bid to ASA Nationals in Owensboro, Kentucky where the 2006 18 & Under ASA Nationals will be held. The tournament will be a five game guarantee, with teams playing two pool games for seeding purposes and then play in a double elimination tournament format with a 3 game minimum. This tournament will take the place of the Belles annual Liberty Belle Classic which is typically held on the same weekend each year. This is an opportunity for the Belles to compete to win a bid to Owensboro without having to travel. "ASA Nationals or Bust!!"image

Posted by Paul Koehler at Sep 11, 2005 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
is set for Saturday, September 24th, 2005. After last year's huge success, the Sellersville Belles will again host a day of Collegiate Division III softball at B. Earl Druckenmiller Park on Maple Avenue in Sellersville. At present there are 7 teams entered and the total could reach 8 or 9 teams. The teams are local college teams who will play a round robin format of games playing from 2 games per team to 4 games per team. This is a great opportunity to see the Division III level of college softball at a local venue. It also give Division III coaches the opportunity to see their new freshman players as well as their returning players. The "Thrilla..." gives the chance for these teams to play a maximum number of games on the one day of competition they are limited to in the fall.image
