Posted by Paul Koehler on Nov 30 2007 at 04:00PM PST

Sellersville, Pa - Over 30 boxes and 20 equipment bags, packed with bats, balls, spikes, gloves, catchers gear (to name a few) were delivered to fellow softball fastpitch victims of the Gulf Coast during the week of November 28th.

Most of the donated equipment came through two drives held during the month of October when the Belles hosted their annual Fall Classic I (12U & 14U) and Fall Classic II (16U & 18U) tournaments.   The Belles would like to thank all of the teams that attended the tournaments who supported the new/used equipment drive.

The Belles would like to thank the following for their time and contributions in making this drive a successful one: Longstreth, Inc., for their donations of two Nakona gloves for raffle as well as for their contribution of equipment; Bill Thompson, owner/partner of the Philadelphia Force for their donation of “2 season tickets for their inaugural season” and Mizuno Corp for their donation of a fielders glove for raffle.

The Belles would like to thank Bob Simcox and his group of people representing the Early Response Team of Hope Church in Douglasville for transporting this equipment to Mandeville, La. They are the first ERT for the United Methodist Church of Eastern Pa.

Lastly, the Belles would like to thank Jim Hewitt of the Mandeville Havoc Fastpitch organization for his help in getting this equipment into to hands of those who will benefit from it most.

The Sellersville Belles, managed by Paul Koehler, are an 18U womens fastpitch organization celebrating their 11th year in existence. The team fields girls from Bucks, Montgomery, Lehigh and Delaware Counties.
